The "1 K Hike & Fly" Adventure

We start with a 30 minute hike from our landing zone up the side of Mount Haleakala through Kaonoulu Ranch pasture land to our Echos launch at 4500′ elevation. We hike on a paved road, gain 1000' in elevation, and the instructor & you each carry a 20 pound backpack. A nice bit of morning exercise with better and better views as we get higher and higher on the mountain. Then the reward is a beautiful tandem paraglidiing flight back down to the landing zone. The flight time is approximately 4 minutes.
